|Undergraduate Resource Packet|
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many research plans this summer. Many students have had summer opportunities canceled or may have never been given the chance to hear back from programs before they were cut. During these next few months, the APSA Diversity Ad-Hoc Committee encourages you to expand your scientific toolkit. To help facilitate this process, we have compiled a list of virtual resources with particular emphasis on skills that are useful in a research setting. We encourage you to use these resources to learn and master these skills and even undergo your own personal project. Hopefully, you find this resource of use. Please note that the APSA Diversity Ad-Hoc Committee is not endorsing any of these commercial products, and does not guarantee anything about them.
This packet will be periodically updated, especially the Mini Lessons video series. If you are aware of any additional resources, please email Briana.Macedo@physicianscientists.org with the email heading “Resource Packet Addition.”
Additional note: some of these programs have 30 day free trials. Set a reminder and make sure to cancel them if you cannot pay. These programs can sometimes make it difficult to cancel their free trials, so make sure you have actually canceled it. You will usually receive a confirmation email.

Note: APSA VSRP is partnering with Jackson Lab to support students in attending the following short courses. Upon completion of the program, you will receive certificates of completion. This is a prestigious annual program and a great opportunity. We will have a limited number of sponsored spots. Other participants in the program will have discounted registration for $25 per person. This resource will be available to students who are otherwise unable to find a match. This is a time commitment, so the sponsored spots will only be available for students who are not otherwise committed to a lab. Please see the attached links for additional information on the courses themselves. We will be reaching out to students with a special registration link for discounts. Please contact us if you have any questions.
