|Local Chapter Travel Award|
This year, APSA will be providing travel awards for the Annual Meeting (Chicago, April 24 - 26) to three institutions who best promote APSA and the organization's goals of developing the careers of aspiring physician scientists. These awards are meant to encourage and support interactions between APSA national and local chapters (LCs).
As an institution, please fill out the travel award form below and write a statement explaining how the activities that your LC has sponsored have promoted education, advocacy, community building, and career development for physician-scientists in training at your institution. Please discuss member involvement in these activities and how they are related to your LC’s mission statement. Please feel free to discuss activities and initiatives that your LC is planning to hold in the future. Also address how your LC has integrated itself into the medical school at your institution.
Requirements: To be eligible for this award, your institution must have submitted an initial application for the APSA LC Initiative. Preference will be given to those institutions that have also completed and submitted a secondary application. To access the application or find out more about LCs, please visit the LC page. Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 13th, 2015. Award announcements will be made in February 2015.
