Nash Family Professor of Neuroscience and Director of Mount Sinai Friedman Brian Institute, Professor of Psychiatry, and Professor of Phrmacology and Systems Therapeutics; member of Institute of Medicine and American Academy of Arts and Science; Winner of Goldman-RakicAward 2008. Dr. Nestler’s lab studies the molecular mechanisms of addiction and depression utilizing animal models of this disorder to identify which drugs of abue or stress can lead to addiction- or depression- like syndromes.
