2008 APSA Annual Meeting attendee
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 2nd California Physician Scientists Symposium to be hosted at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California on November 15, 2008. We look forward to hosting physician-scientist trainees from the entire West Coast area.

Registration: |
Online abstract submission (for oral or poster student presentations) ends on October 24th, 2008 at 11:59pm PST. Notification of acceptance for presentations will be given on or before October 26, 2008. Registration ends on November 11, 2008 at 11:59 PM CST. On-site registration will be available after November 7, 2008 dependent on space and funding. |

Abstract Submissions: |
All attendees are encouraged to submit an abstract (max: 1 page) based on their current or past research. Four abstracts will be selected for 20-minute oral presentations and approximately twenty-five abstracts will be selected for poster presentations. Abstract selection will be based on scientific merit of the research and also on the organizing committee's intention of showcasing the wide range of disciplines to which physician-scientists contribute; researchers from non-laboratory disciplines (e.g., computational biology, epidemiology, economics, health care policy, or sociology) are encouraged to apply. Notification of acceptance for presentations will be given on or before October 26, 2008. Accepted abstracts must be presented at the meeting; do not apply if you are not sure that you will be able to attend for the full day. |
