Please email us at [email protected] at least 15 days prior to the conference if you have registered but decide not to come. This will help us better plan our conference and ensure that it remains free in the future.
Abstracts and Poster Session
The poster session at this APSA regional meeting will highlight the outstanding research and hard work of the students who attend. We encourage everyone attending the meeting to submit an abstract for the poster session.
Abstracts are limited to one per registrant and the registrant must be the first author on the abstract. Please limit your abstracts to 300 words, and abstracts must include title, authors, and affiliations. The deadline for abstract submission will be August 28th with no exceptions. We hope to accept each and every abstract submitted for the poster session. However, if too many abstracts are submitted, selection of the most worthy abstracts may take place. If this is the case emails will be sent out to everyone who submitted an abstract informing them of whether or not their abstract was selected. Hopefully this is not the case and all abstracts are accepted with registrants notified by email of their acceptance.
During the poster session, a panel of judges drawn from physicians and scientists at Upstate will evaluate each poster and determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries. Each one of those students will be awarded a prize sponsored by the Upstate College of Graduate Studies.
Abstract Submission Deadline: August 28th
Notified of Abstract Acceptance: September 2nd
Abstracts and Presentations
There are three (3) 30 min slots for student speakers. Three students will be selected from those students who submit an abstract and indicate they are interested in giving an oral presentation about their research. Decisions regarding who is selected for those slots will be decided following the abstract submission deadline. Each student selected to give an oral presentation will be awarded a prize sponsored by the Upstate College of Graduate Studies.
