Each speaker brings a wealth of knowledge not only about their respective field, but about how to excel at clinically relevant research. Each has completed medical training and is a board-certified physician in their respective field.

Our keynote speakers include Peter T. Fox MD, who helped found the field of neuroimaging; Tyler Curiel MD PhD, a well-respected Cancer researcher; and Kathy Collins MD PhD, who is an influential HIV/AIDS researcher. Each speaker brings a wealth of knowledge not only about their respective field, but about how to excel at clinically relevant research. Each has completed medical training and is a board-certified physician in their respective field.

We have organized the meeting to appeal to students and faculty at any level with a wide range of interests. Small group sessions will discuss various components of physician-scientist education including: finding a research mentor; writing NIH training and research grants; applying to MD, MD/PhD, and residency programs; balancing life & career; and melding humanism in research. All attendees are invited to present posters highlighting their current research. Registration will be waived for all attendees who present their research.
