APSA ensures that the needs of future physician scientists are represented, respected, and addressed. As the biggest advocate for physician scientist trainees in the world, together we can transform medicine.

APSA is a national organization dedicated to addressing the needs of future physician scientists with respect to their training and career development. APSA supports the growth of combined degree training programs and other formal research training to prepare individuals for careers as physician scientists.

New Membership

Thank you for your interest in joining the American Physician Scientists Association as a dues paying member.  Your membership dues directly goes towards the development and support of resources, events, and initiatives for physician-scientist trainees.

Full  - $ 20.00
MD/PhD or DO/PhD trainee, residents, fellows
MD or DO students, residents, fellows involved in qualified research training experiences*, based on Membership Committee approval  		 
Full - Multi-year (up to 5 years)  - $ 60.00
MD/PhD or DO/PhD trainee, residents, fellows
MD or DO students, residents, fellows involved in qualified research training experiences*, based on Membership Committee approval  		 
Full - Multi-year (up to 8 years)  - $ 100.00
MD/PhD or DO/PhD trainee, residents, fellows
MD or DO students, residents, fellows involved in qualified research training experiences*, based on Membership Committee approval  		 
Associate  - $ 20.00
MD or DO students, residents, fellows not yet engaged in research, individuals not yet enrolled in medical school, or anyone who does not fit the requirements of Full Membership or Emeritus Membership  		 
Associate - Undergraduates  - $ 10.00
Premedical undergraduate students  		 
Emeritus ( <5 years out from residency/fellowship/post-doc)  - $ 50.00
Those ≤5 years out of medical residency / fellowship training  		 
Emeritus  - $ 100.00
Those >5 years out of medical residency / fellowship training  		 
Emeritus - Lifetime  - $ 1,000.00
Lifetime membership
