2007 APSA New York Regional Meeting breakout session

Carolyn Brokowski

Ms. Carolyn E. Brokowski is a research associate at the Yale School of Medicine and has engaged in pioneering research in plastic surgery, dermatology, and immunobiology. She serves as co-executive editor of the Yale Journal of Health Policy Law & Ethics at Yale Law School and has lobbied successfully on Capitol Hill for increasing the federal funding of biomedical research. As a recent Yale College graduate with uncompromising curiosity and an eclectic array of intellectual pursuits, she completed two majors in molecular, cellular, & developmental biology and philosophy, and graduated with distinction. Her favorite philosopher is Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, and she believes in the veracity of The Identity of Indiscernibles. Carolyn wishes to pursue a career in academic medicine as a physician-scientist while continuing with her involvement in science policy and healthcare reform. She has been a member of the APSA Policy Committee since 2009 and is its current vice-chair.
