Alvin Das

Mr. Alvin Das is an MD candidate at Northeast Ohio Medical University (formerly Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine) and is a student of the accelerated MD program in conjunction with Kent State University.  In 2010, he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Integrated Life Sciences and a minor in Biological Sciences from the Honors College at Kent State University.  Currently, Mr. Das is Member-at-Large (MD, DO) of APSA having previously served as his university’s Institutional Representative.  On a local level, he is president of both his medical school’s APSA chapter and Student Interest Group in Neurology chapter.  His current research focuses on degenerative diseases in the brain, and he has received research scholarships from the American Academy of Neurology as well as Northeast Ohio Medical University to conduct research in molecular neuroscience.
