Leadership

Meet your national and local APSA leadership!

Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors serves as an advisory and oversight board to the American Physician Scientists Association and the Executive Council. The board is made of physician-scientist stakeholders and leaders and of former/current members of the APSA Executive Council. Together this group of individuals not only maintain and guide the long term vision of the organization but they also retain the institutional memory for the organization.

Executive Council:

The Executive Council is made up of twelve positions elected by the Institutional Representatives during the APSA Annual Meeting in April of each year. These positions are the only members of the Executive Council with voting privileges. The committee vice-chairs are included as non-voting members of the Executive Council and are appointed to their positions by the Executive Council. The vice-chairs may in the absence of the committee chair serve as the proxy vote.
