The value of
one-on-one interactions with other members
of the physician scientists in training and
the exposure to current physician-scientists
have proved to be an invaluable resource.
These have been exemplified in the
individual programs' use of retreats and the
National MD/PhD Student Conference in
helping create this community.
APSA has currently decided to focus on the
use of national meetings in various parts of
the country to provide these same forums of
interactions and discussion in a highly
accessible fashion.
